Slots are available for the Extreme Cowboy Race™ hosted by Craig Cameron, being held during the Rocky Mountain Horse Expo at the Sky Ute Event Center in Ignacio, CO. And because this is the first time the race is being held in Ignacio, Cameron is offering a 2-for-1 deal on the entry fee; two contestants who sign up together get half off the normal $350 entry fee. One rider signing up with two horses is eligible for the same price break. Participation is subject to Cameron’s approval.
The “southwest edition” of the Rocky Mountain Horse Expo spreads out this September 19-21, stretching into every corner of the 20-acre Sky Ute Event Center in Ignacio. So many clinicians are in the line-up, the event has added extra venues, and family fun has its very own “Junior Rodeo” arena. Shopping spills out from the indoor arena to a pleasant grassy area, complete with picnic tables. Horses for private treaty sales, breed presentations and stallion and mare demonstrations are stabled in comfortable box stalls in convenient barns located next to the heart of Horse Expo action.
In 2008, the Rocky Mountain Horse Expo hosts The Extreme Cowboy Race® hosted by Craig Cameron not once, but twice. The race returns to the Vail/Eagle Valley, May 30-June 1, 2008. Plus, “extreme cowboy” antics will be featured at the 2008 Rocky Mountain Horse Expo in Ignacio, September 19-21. Get a sense of the upcoming extreme fun—and extremely excellent horsemanship—by touring our photo gallery of the 2007 Vail/Eagle Valley Finals.

Rocky Mountain Horse Expos provide high-impact marketing for your stallions and mares, breeds and disciplines, and private treaty sale horses. And the RMHE package benefits extend beyond the events themselves, with expanded coverage through the web and media distribution:
When advertisement is transformed by artwork, the product is memorable. Even collectible. Recently the acclaimed international photographer Claude Steelman contributed his image, "No Holding Back," to the Rocky Mountain Horse Expo, who then put this fine artwork to fine effect in an art calendar-poster promoting the three 2008 Horse Expos. This is the first in a planned series of annual calendars from the RMHE, with the intention of shining a daily spotlight on the beauty and drama of the horse.
The Colorado Horse Contact is the quarterly newsletter for members of the Colorado Horse Council. The Contact features news of interest to the horse industry, legislative updates and analysis, profiles of industry leaders, invitations to events, calendar details and more. You won't want to miss a single issue!
