Wanted: Daring Cowboys and Dauntless Cowgirls To Saddle Up for the Extreme Cowboy Race™
at the Rocky Mountain Horse Expo
September 19-21 ~ Ignacio, CO

Slots are available for the Extreme Cowboy Race™ hosted by Craig Cameron, being held during the Rocky Mountain Horse Expo at the Sky Ute Event Center in Ignacio, CO. And because this is the first time the race is being held in Ignacio, Cameron is offering a 2-for-1 deal on the entry fee; two contestants who sign up together get half off the normal $350 entry fee. One rider signing up with two horses is eligible for the same price break. Participation is subject to Cameron’s approval.

This race, which offers cash prizes, is a qualifier for the year-end championship event held at Cameron’s ranch in Texas. Designed to test the horseman’s skill over a series of challenging obstacles, the Extreme Cowboy Race™ race is all about natural horsemanship. Speed is only one part of a winning score; judges also award points for horsemanship, cadence, control, horse's attitude, and overall execution. Cameron, whose lifelong passion is to educate horsemen and women so they in turn can better educate their horses, has fashioned the event to measure and refine the rider’s command of his or her horse. The competition is as much a brain game as a physical test, and with running commentary by Cameron, audiences learn almost as much from it as the competitors do. Everyone has fun.
