Rocky Mountain Horse Expo Expands: More Ground for More Expo
Sky Ute Event Center, Ignacio, CO ~ September 19-21, 2008

The “southwest edition” of the Rocky Mountain Horse Expo spreads out this September 19-21, stretching into every corner of the 20-acre Sky Ute Event Center in Ignacio. So many clinicians are in the line-up, the event has added extra venues, and family fun has its very own “Junior Rodeo” arena. Shopping spills out from the indoor arena to a pleasant grassy area, complete with picnic tables. Horses for private treaty sales, breed presentations and stallion and mare demonstrations are stabled in comfortable box stalls in convenient barns located next to the heart of Horse Expo action.

Even the infield of the 5/8 mile track will be pressed into service—for the Extreme Cowboy Race™, hosted by Craig Cameron. A test of skill, speed and nerve, the Extreme Cowboy Race™ is well known to RFD-TV audiences and popular with live crowds throughout the country. The legendary Cameron brings humor and wisdom to his race commentaries, giving audience and participants alike priceless insights they can incorporate into their own natural horsemanship.

As always, the speaker list represents the best veterinary, legislative, and equine care knowledge in the industry. And this year, Friday’s Horse Expo welcomes student teams to show what they know, when they compete in an FFA regional horse judging competition.

Appearing at the Horse Expo in the Arenas:

Debbie Bibb – Building the Horse of a Lifetime™
Craig Cameron – Horsemanship demonstrations, plus the Extreme Cowboy Race™
Art Kiger – Nebraska Horseman
Jason Patrick – Natural Horsemanship in a Cowboy World
Dennis Pennington – Gaited Horsemanship
Karen Scholl – Horsemanship for Women
Rich Scott – Vision of Unity Horsemanship
Clayton Sullwold – Equine Chiropractic

Horseman’s College Speakers:

Bruce De Mott – Trail Issues
Ben Hufnagel, DVM – New Strides in Lameness Diagnosis and Care

At the Sky Ute Event Center, the Rocky Mountain Horse Expo has plenty of room to grow—so that’s exactly what we’re doing, taking more ground to bring enthusiasts more of everything about horses.
