Cancer can interrupt a horsewoman or man’s life all too fast. Since the Rocky Mountain Horse Expo believes the “horse life” is the healthiest one, they are pleased to benefit a Colorado-based non-profit that helps horsewomen and men get back in the saddle as soon as possible. Established by a group of dressage enthusiasts, Renee's Friends Fund partners with local hospitals and cancer treatment centers to assist any breast cancer patient in need with non-medical expense items such as transportation, household costs, food and supportive help and therapies.
Do YOU know how to look at a horse? Confirmed FEI Grand Prix trainer Jennifer Nisbet will show you how. World class clinicians, up-to-the-minute educational programs, and the best in horse-related products and services come together this fall in Grand Junction and Durango for a three-day event no horseman or woman will want to miss. From the stick horse rodeos to the Texas Thunder Percheron Hitch, there will be horses of every type and talent. Activities to entertain the whole family will go on throughout the weekends, from Ranch Versatility and Roping competitions to mounted shooting demonstrations, dressage evaluations and much more. Special education programs are planned for both locations, and in Durango, the weekend will be held in conjunction with the annual “Motorless Parade” and the popular Durango Cowboy Gathering.
